John Hovick

ohn Hovick, of Murray Hill Terrace, Bergenfield, N.J., formerly of Warrior
Run and Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday in Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, N.J.

Born June 15, 1923, in Warrior Run, he was the son of the late Andrew and
Mary (Fedock) Hovick. He graduated from Nanticoke High School in 1942. He was
a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was employed by the United Merchants
and Manufacturing Co., New York. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the
Maternity, Wilkes-Barre.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, the former Marie Kulak; daughter, Diane
Price, Cypress, Calif.; and three grandsons.

The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday from the Bednarski Funeral Home,

Church of the Maternity. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover
Township. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church of the Maternity, 40 Park
Ave., Wilkes-Barre, 18702.
