Mary Kurello, of Highland Drive, Hanover Township, died Thursday at
Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Hanover Township, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna
(Petruska) Mitchel. She was a Hanover Township High School graduate. She was
formerly a longtime supervisor at the Social Security Administration,
Wilkes-Barre. She was a member of St. Aloysius Church, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Dr. Edward L.; daughter, Deborah
Gonsky, Kingston; two grandsons; sisters, Irene, East Stroudsburg; and Helen
Stetz, Kingston; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:45 a.m. Saturday from the Nat & Gawlas
Funeral Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass
at 12:15 p.m. at St. Aloysius Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s
Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu
of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s
choice.
