Showers and thunderstorms possible heading into the midweek

Cloud skies and the potential for rain will continue to be the trend today.
It was 67 degrees as of 7:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies.
Scattered showers will be possible today, along with the chance for some thunderstorms after noon. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and today’s high will reach the upper 70s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible tonight, with between a tenth and a quarter of an inch of rain possible. Tonight’s low will be in the mid 60s.
Wednesday and into Wednesday night will continue the possibility of showers and thunderstorms. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected on Wednesday, and Wednesday night could also bring another less then a tenth of an inch of rain. Wednesday’s high will climb to the upper 70s, and the low on Wednesday night will be in the mid 60s.
