Clouds, rain to move into the Wyoming Valley this week

Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts today — clouds and rainfall are on the way.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 53 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Overcast skies greeted morning commuters and those on the way to the polls.
Sunny skies are expected for today, with a high in the lower 60s. Clouds will start to make their way back into the Wyoming Valley tonight, with a low in the mid 40s.
Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, along with a slight chance of showers before 9 a.m. Wednesday’s high will be in the lower 60s.
Wednesday night will bring cloudy skies, as well as a chance for rain after 1 a.m. Up to a quarter of an inch of rain is possible. Wednesday night’s low will be in the mid to upper 40s.
Cloudy skies will stick around on Thursday, along with a 60 percent chance of rain. No precipitation amounts have been given at this time. Thursday’s high will be in the upper 50s.
Rain will continue to be likely on Thursday night, with a low in the lower 40s.
