Florence Bartchak

lorence M. Bartchak, 82, of South Hanover Street, Nanticoke, died Saturday
at the Birchwood Nursing Center, Nanticoke.
Born April 18, 1918 in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late
Alexander and Mary (Stawash) Bartchak. She was educated in Wilkes-Barre
schools. Before retiring in 1985, she was a floorlady for Krementz & Co. in
Newark, N.J.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Matthew, Bernard, Chester and
Alex; and sisters, Helen Perkoski, Martha Kemsel, Sophie Kain, Eugenia Dula,
Josephine Bartchak and Olga Beardsley.
Surviving are nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Stanley S. Stegura
Funeral Home Inc., 614 S. Hanover St., Nanticoke, with a Mass of Christina
burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Dorrance. Interment
will be in the parish cemetery, Dorrance. Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30
a.m. Tuesday.
