lorence A. Corcoran, 95, formerly of West Wyoming, died Tuesday at Valley
Crest Nursing Home, Plains Township.
Born Aug. 20, 1904, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Louis
and Catherine Conrad. She was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre,
and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore; brothers, Louis,
Raymond, Edward and Leonard; and sisters, Emily Carroll and Amanda Ferry.
Surviving are her daughters, Regina Reh and Maureen Dougher, both of
Wilkes-Barre; and Jacqueline Stelacone, West Wyoming, with whom she had
resided; son, Theodore, Elysburg; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren;
sister, Catherine Kaminski; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral
Home, Park Avenue and South Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a funeral Mass at 9:30
a.m. at St. Nicholas Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover
Township. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of
flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of
Northeastern Pennsylvania, Wilkes-Barre.
