lorence H. Creter, of Shore Drive, Edgewater, Md., formerly of Lawrence
Street, Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday at Kresleigh Assisted Living,
Davidsonville, Md.
Born Sept. 26, 1910 in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Edward S.
and Una Gertrude (Tarr) Haskell. She was a member of the Firwood United
Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre, its JOY Sunday School Class, and also a past
treasurer of the Wyoming Valley Art League.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan C. Blackstone, with whom she resided; and
one granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Frederick & Snowdon Funeral
Home, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Betty Poe, pastor,
officiating. Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends
may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to the Firwood United Methodist Church, 399 Old
River Road, Wilkes-Barre, 18702.
